Zimmer Biomet Institute Announces Opening of New Location in Charlotte

New east coast location strengthens the Zimmer Biomet Institute network and broadens access to hands-on, digital and peer-to-peer medical education

(WARSAW, Ind.) July 21, 2026 — Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc. (NYSE and SIX: ZBH), a global medical technology leader, today announced the opening of a new Zimmer Biomet Institute (ZBI) location in Charlotte, N.C., further strengthening the company’s medical education program.

The site serves as the east coast companion of ZBI’s Scottsdale training site and is designed to support a range of educational experiences, including surgeon training, bioskills programs, technology demonstrations and faculty-led learning across Zimmer Biomet’s product portfolio. The space will support programming in primary and revision joint replacement, robotics portfolio including the ROSA® Robotic System and Monogram, OrthoGrid Hip AI®, sports medicine and other orthopedic specialties, while providing health care professionals with a unique environment for practical learning and collaboration. In addition, opportunities for partners in medical education exist for rental of space when not hosting Zimmer Biomet events.

“Opening a ZBI location in Charlotte broadens access to high-quality, hands-on education for health care professionals seeking to build skills in the latest orthopedic techniques and technologies,” said Dr. Jonathan M. Vigdorchik, Chief Science, Technology and Medical Affairs Officer for Zimmer Biomet. “As part of the broader ZBI program, this site complements our in-person, virtual and digital education offerings and helps surgeons access practical learning opportunities they can immediately put into practice with their patients closer to where they live and practice.”

Located within The Pearl Charlotte’s first innovation district, the site benefits from proximity to a major transportation hub and a setting that brings together health care, research and education. The Pearl is a partnership between Atrium Health and Wexford Science & Technology.

“Zimmer Biomet's decision to establish this new medical education presence in Charlotte reflects the strength of the region as a place where health care, research and innovation can come together,” said Dennis Miller, Senior Vice President and Market Executive, Wexford Science & Technology. “We are pleased to welcome an organization that shares a commitment to education, collaboration and advancing the future of care.”
